Ridiculous gentiles on Tumblr (and, presumably, elsewhere) insisting Anne Frank was bisexual when she was never able to fully identify with any sexual orientation because she was literally murdered by Nazis as a child with most of her family and friends for being Jewish.
See, I’ve talked about this before.
Steve’s trying, bless his heart, but we have this problem in the US where someone who’s an outsider, not a member of a marginalized group can swoop in and save the ‘little guy’, and it’s totally cool and badass. So Steve can punch Nazis in the face, (EVEN PUNCH HITLER IN THE FACE), because he doesn’t really want to. It isn’t revenge. He’s white, he’s male, he’s Christian, so it’s ‘Justice’
But people who fight for their own people don’t get as approved of, because it’s painted as revenge, usually bad revenge. Like if Magneto, who is Jewish and a Holocaust survivor and who’s wife was Rromani, and who’s children are also Rromani were to go back in time, as a Holocaust survivor and punch Hitler in the face because he wanted to, people, gentiles mainly, wouldn’t be as down for that. Because it’s revenge. Not justice.
And that’s something that frustrates me.
Steve has a lot of good qualities, but praising him for this is kind of a problem.
(If I’m talking out of my ass, please let me know.)
THANK U FOR SAYING THIS AGREED 100%
I’ve been waiting to see this sort of response to this gifset and commentary forever. It bugged the ever living hell out of me. Thank you.
In an AU where SHIELD Agents must graduate from the Academy, students Leo Fitz and Gemma Simmons meet for the first time — as reluctant partners for their first year field test. Will they overcome their differences and succeed in the field, or will pride and competition cause them to fail their exam?
This is a student-made fan video re-imagining the origins of the agent pair Fitz-Simmons. It was created for the educational purposes of studying and working in the model of a master franchise.

Here is the piece from my creative process post earlier this week. I’m pretty proud of it and happy to have it on my page.
This piece is called Egyptian Motif Gemstone Necklace
You can also check out my shop and follow me on facebook.
I’m enjoying these process photo sets so here’s another one. This one is for a pair of earrings I made last night. It started with wanting to play with the blue wire I got from Parawire at the gemshow. It led to me grabbing some clear Swarovski crystals I’d gotten at the gemshow as well just a year or so prior.
Blue and white are pretty popular. Probably because of Frozen, but I love the colors, so I’m not going to complain. I added to the design a silver plated ring to add some more drama and length.
Then it was accent crystal time. The clear aurora borealis coated crystals were an obvious choice and then I finally settled on the light blue ones you see pictured.
Put them all together and voila! The blue ear wires are actually niobium, which is a heated to color metal that is actually purer and more hypoallergenic than 18kt gold it even platinum, so these are particularly great if you can’t normally wear earrings.
These should probably be up for sale today or tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled.
I’ve been promising people the next installment of my ambiguously bloody fairy tale series for awhile. My Tumblr-fu is weak, but I think if you click on the image it will show you a higher res version? Not sure. If not, eh. It’ll be on my website eventually.
This is my version of the Little Mermaid. She’s not Ariel.
In the original fairy tale, just like in the animated film, the mermaid goes to a witch with love troubles to solve. And instead of the sea witch threatening to make the mermaid a tiny sea-nugget, if she can’t get the Prince to love her, she’ll turn into sea foam. (and be dead, obvs.)
But when the mermaid gets to land, she discovers that the prince is actually in love with another Princess already, and getting hitched in three days (in direct conflict with mermadish deadlines!).
The mermaid’s sisters, in trying to save their sister from inevitable foamy non-existence, sell their hair to the sea witch to get a dagger which, when plunged into the heart of the prince and his lover, will give the mermaid back her tail, and allow her to return to the sea.
So our mermaid takes the dagger and sneaks on to the wedding barge in order to murder the happy newlyweds in their sleep, but when she sees them all tousled and in love, sleeping in each other’s arms, she throws the dagger back into the ocean.
Kind-hearted as she is, the mermaid instead chooses to become seafoam rather than kill that which she cannot have. Lesson learned, ladies. Don’t go to witches and expect engaged dudes to fall into your lap. Witchcraft is bad juju.
She joins Alice (in Wonderland), Rapunzel, Red Riding Hood and Snow White.
I’ve got a really good idea for Sleeping Beauty, but I think I’mma do Beauty and the Beast next, if just to make me insane. (my unfleshed out idea for that involves castle towers at sunset. I’m an idiot)
tldr; Drew me a mermaid. Used Paint Tool SAI and (I’m ashamed to say_,a tiny bit of photoshop. Painting water is hard. Water is wet. Nothing new ever.
REALLY TLDR; Oh look. New picture. Very water. So fish. Much tail. Weird Blood. Wow.
I love Lori’s art work. Such beautiful stuff!
